Curing Metastatic Melanoma with Immune Checkpoint Inhibition
About This Session
A case will be presented illustrating the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibition in metastatic melanoma as well as the management of side effects. The use of this class of drugs has resulted in cure rates of ~50% in metastatic melanoma and shown significant efficacy in a number of other solid tumour types. The clinical development of these agents and other immunotherapies will also be reviewed and discussed.
