Our Human Factors Foundation Course provides the essentials on this key topic for doctors and healthcare professionals, presented by Tug Wilson, a former fighter pilot and instructor with over a decade of experience in healthcare human factors training.
This programme will provide foundation level knowledge in Human Factors plus in-depth knowledge of some of the more important aspects related to medicine such as Error management, Blame Culture, Communication, Leadership and Team Working, Decision Making, and Situational Awareness.
Part 1 of the Human Factors Foundation Course looks at the following:
Identifying the key elements of Human Factors affecting individual and team performance
Evaluating the error-causing elements affecting you and your teams in a clinical setting
Understanding the blame culture in your organisation, and its effect on performance and communication
Understanding the key elements of basic communication.
