This learning module has been developed from the Juzoor Diabetes in Pregnancy National Protocol in collaboration with the Ministry of Health in Palestine. It provides information on diabetes management for women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. The aim is to detect undiagnosed pre-gestational diabetes and improve the diagnosis and treatment of gestational diabetes. This module is for healthcare professionals including obstetricians, gynecologists, general practitioners, midwives, nurses, and diabetologists.

Understanding the importance of preconception care and screening for diabetes in women at risk of developing diabetes before pregnancy.

Recognizing the screening methods and criteria for diagnosing gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) during pregnancy and implementing appropriate management strategies.

Providing appropriate postnatal care for women with diabetes, including monitoring and follow-up screening, counseling on future pregnancy risks, and referrals for management if necessary.
