Foundations of Technology-Enabled Care

American College of Cardiology
Expected completion time: 45 mins
0.75 CPD Credit

This new course on Technology-Enabled Care (TEC) takes a fresh look at the digital tools, devices and technology that are being used by doctors and healthcare professionals (HCPs) to improve cardiovascular care.

We focus on the digital innovations that support communication, monitoring, and decision-making, rather than new surgical or interventional devices. TEC includes applications such as telemedicine and virtual consultations, remote patient monitoring, electronic health records (EHRs) and clinical decision support tools, mobile health apps, wearables, and digital patient technologies.

The goal of this course is to show how TEC and make cardiovascular care more proactive, integrated, and personalized - empowering clinicians to manage patients efficiently across settings, and enabling individuals to take a more active role in their own heart health.
