Resus Council Releases New Guidelines

Notable additions are

  • Advice not to listen for breathing at the patients mouth when checking for signs of life

  • State COVID risk to 2222

  • Minimise number of staff in the room

  • Need for full PPE (gown, gloves, eye mask, FFP3) before CPR

  • Start with chest compressions-only CPR

  • Fully AGP PPE equip persons to secure airway and undertake bag mask valve ventilation
