Get Ready for the ExCel London: Nightingale Hospital
ExCel London: the New NHS Nightingale Hospital
To meet the increasing demand for hospital beds during the COVID-19 pandemic, the ExCEL London Exhibition centre is being converted into a temporary NHS hospital.
The ExCel London is a well know conference and exhibition venue in the UK, which has previously hosted events for the 2012 London Olympic games. It is now getting ready to open its doors for the NHS from next week.
A 4000 bed temporary hospital has been planned with the support of NHS healthcare staff and the UK Military.
The initial launch will be with 500 inpatient beds with capacity to support ventilation for COVID-19 patients.
