Carbon emissions have dropped due to social distancing and lockdown measures workldwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This New Scientist article highlights the variation in articles published about pollution levels and severity of COVID-19 infection. Although pollution levels can be linked to lung health, this summary highlights that there is no conclusive evidence yet to support this.
